SUMMER SOLSTICE RUN - 22 JUNE

Hi everyone -

Believe it or not it is nearly mid - summer !!!

Why not enjoy a sunny summer evening run out in the car on Sunday 22 June. It should be light until around 10.30pm and with any luck we could have a hot day.

The idea for the run is -

3.30pm for 4.30pm departure - meet at Porsche Centre Sheffield

5.30pm approx - arrive at Bakewell - Agricultural Centre Car Park (pay &display) just off A6 heading for Matlock. Pit stop for around 1 hour so you can enjoy a walk by the river or into the centre of the historic market town (sorry the shops will be shut !)

6.30pm leave for a short run to local pub - probably the Duke of York (nr Flagg just outside Buxton) for a meal around 7.00pm.

8.30pm to 9.00pm leave for a circular run based on the Cat & Fiddle arriving around 10.00pm as the Sun is setting. This would be a good opportunity for a photo shoot looking over the hills to Macclesfield.

Then home to our beds.

Everyone welcome - please post if you are likely to be interested in this run so I can arrange numbers for the pub meal.

Happy motoring - Randolph

As we discussed last night Jan and I hopefully will be there. Will meet you at the Duke of York as we have other things on earlier.

Andrew

Sorry, Randolph we won't be able to make it as we will be in sunny Mallorca. Unfortunately, while there we will also miss the Croft track day, a formula 1 test day at Silverstone and the Chatsworth Pageant all in the space of a week!

Hi Randolph
Please add us to the list for both the run and the meal, many thanks.

Regards
Graham and Maz

Hi all -

Slight change to the timings - we will eat at the Duke of York, Ashbourne Rd. (A515), Nr Flagg, Buxton, SK17 9QJ at 6.00pm. After that we can return to Bakewell or start the run to the Cat & Fiddle - we can decide on the day depending on the weather.

Happy motoring - Randolph

Hi Randolph,
Put Mags and myself down to join for a bite to eat and the run.
See you on the day.

Sorry to give back word this late in the day - we have just had relatives ( aged variety ) drop on us unexpectedly - unlikely we can get rid of them to enable us to be there - shame as it is a nice day here if a little windy!

Obviously will pick up any costs as appropriate - see you at Chatsworth re. this or mail me.

Andrew

Thanks Randolph

A fine run and a good meal was missed by many

See you at Chatsworth on Sunday (thats a little reminder to everyone)
