Sump gaurd

Yup, me again
Quicky for ya. Should there be a sump gaurd or tray type thing fitted underneath the engine bay? It looks awfully susceptable to water ingress and i was wondering should there be a gaurd there to stop the engine getting a good soaking whenever it rained.

There should be a "protective plate" that bolts underneath the engine.I have a spare one off a 924 which you could have had but looking at the PET catalogue it's different to the one's fitted to the early 944's.
