Sun Visor extension

Has anyone found an effective sun visor extension product?
With the sun so low in the sky just now it sometimes cannot be effectively blocked by the standard visor even with the seat cranked up to max height.
Being vertically challenged is part of the problem I guess but trying to avoid the"sitting on a cushion solution"!
Any suggestions appreciated.

As above, really good sunglasses. Oakley's cut about 90% of sunlight out and work perfectly when the sun is this low.
I also use them for skiing as they remove the glare completely.

Extending the sun visor could cause visibility issues owing to the low angle of the screen to start with, as well as the possibility of it not being legal.
I'd echo the above comments - best way by far is to have sunglasses to hand as no windscreen is going to cut down glare, especially at this time of year. This is why I have a pair of Oakleys in the car all year round ready to go.

On our rally cars, we used to use gaffer tape on the windscreen to eliminate low level sun glare. Not very pretty, but effective! [;)]

Thanks Angus.
The Amazon product is getting close to what I think I'm looking for - extending the visor down towards the dashboard.

Good! There are some home made attempts on youtube also. Let me know we are in the US in March so I could have a look over there.

Thanks for your thoughts and ideas. I checked out some of the on-line offerings and found that most used a tinted plastic plate that could be set in various positions. One of the main issues I was hoping to solve was the strobe effect that we get from low level sun filtering through trees that are now devoid of leaves, this in addition to the direct sun that always seems to find its way beneath the standard visor. So, to paraphrase a rather well known (and possibly over used) Porsche phrase " I couldn't find the visor extension I wanted so I made my own". I'm running with a prototype made from black painted cardboard, attached to the existing visor using broad black dressmakers elastic under slight tension. Some photos below.

Slightly shaped at the corners to avoid the mounts for the fitted visors.

Visor extension in place behind the existing visor. The tension in the elastic keeps it in place.

Visor extension pulled down for use. Extension depth is variable and held in place by the tension in the elastic.
The visor extension can also be moved left and right.

This is the mark I version, I'm sure it can be improved but I'll use it for a while and see how it goes.

Nice bit of precision engineering there, Paul.
May be worth putting into production! [:D]
