Hi all
Just a reminder that (weather permitting[8|]) it will be R10's summer bbq and picnic at Emberton Country Park this coming Sunday[].
My lad has a cricket match in the morning, so I'm unlikely to get there until around 1.30pm [8|]- but don't let me stop you getting there sooner to bag a plot. We usually try to take an area on the larger open space that's found if you drive dead ahead from the gate for about 5-600 yards or so, past the shop/children's playground.
The park has always allowed us to light bbq's - but we are asked not to scorch the ground or set light to the park[8|], so bring a few housebricks or similar to prop up any disposable bar-bie's if you plan to use on. Picnics are equally welcome. I think the gazebo may be with another member at the moment, so I can't promise I can get one there. Also, Kim's busted her arm so can't follow my Porsche in the 'support vehicle' with all the gear, so I'm likely to be in a dark blue Lexus 4x4, not the 911.
Entry to the park is just off the A509, on your left just before Olney if travelling from Milton Keynes. You may be asked to pay an entry fee to the park, but it's only around £3.50-3.60 per car if I recall. You never know, they may waive it.
Bring chairs, any games you fancy playing, someting to eat with/on and a good sense of humour [].
