May 19 Summer Sunday
Visit to Dinorwig power station North Wales, PLEASE NOTE members must book on this event by 15th April see below.
We will be meeting at the Little Chef on the A55 near Mold CH7 6HB at 10:30 departing at 11:15 for the drive to Ty'n Rhos Country House Hotel LL55 3AE Tel 01248 670489 for a 3 course lunch which is booked 12.30pm for 1pm. Following lunch we have a 5 minute drive to Dinorwig power station and the afternoon visit which is booked for 3:00pm .

The menu choice is as follows:

Starters

Home-Made French Onion Soup
Duo of Seasonal Melon Drizzled with Passion Fruit Syrup, served with Sorbet and a Compote of Berries
Traditional Seafood Cocktail with Brown Shrimps, Prawns and Crab
Chicken Liver Parfait fruit chutney, toasted brioche
Irish Goats Cheese served with red onion, tomato and basil salad


Mains

Traditional Roast Beef with all the trimmings
Roast Leg of Lamb served with Redcurrant and Rosemary Sauce
Pan Fried Salmon with Garlic Butter and Clams
Blue Per Las cheese and Caramelised Tart served with Tomato Sauce


Desserts

Fresh Fruit Salad with homemade vanilla ice cream or fresh double cream
Sticky Toffee Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce and Ginger Ice Cream
Bakewell Tart served with Vanilla Ice Cream
Gingerbread Crème Brulee served with Shortbread biscuit
Confit Apple served in a pastry case with crumble topping and Crème Anglaise
