....but then again, it might not. A disparate group is meeting at Greggs / Costa's, Barnard Castle, 11:00 am Sunday 16th, for a run into the Dales and a bite of lunch. Very informal, nothing booked, but all welcome.

Love to John but the car is laid up until it gets the Ventershield put on it's new gleaming paint work.

Checked the forecast for Sunday and weather looks good. Have a great drive.

Sorry folks - completely screwed up and put the date I posted rather than that of the run. It is this coming Sunday! It is not an 'official' run, just a few of us getting the cars out and going for a natter.

Apologies for for any confusion.

Well done John this is exactly what we need as a region, I appreciate the weather forecast may not be the best but you are still determined to get the most from your car regardless. Obviously won't suit all but I am sure you will get a few turn up in the morning for your impromptu run. Unfortunately I am unsure if Deb and I can make this one but we will try if we can.

If anyone else ever fancies a spur of the moment run, do as John has done, post it on here & share the fun.

Shame your optimism couldn't hold back the weather and road conditions John, still we really were riding on the crest of a wave on this run. Although it obviously didn't dampen the spirits of those hardy soles that continued on to Pooly Bridge through the mist and rain. Sorry Deb and I cut short waiting for Dave & Amy to meet us at Hartside which took longer than expected due to Dave's puddle hopping, that said respect to them as they pulled up with the cab roof down. Hardy lot here in the North East, so it was decided a stop off at Sally's was obligatory on the way back east. (well it would be rude not to)[:)]
