Sunday 20 September - pub meet with AMOC

Well I couldn't find time to organise this year's Intermarque Gathering, but I have managed to arrange a pub-meet with the local area of the Aston Martin Owners Club.
(Edit: I've sent an invitation to the Lamborghini Club Uk too.)

The venue is the same "" the Cross Keys, Pulloxhill"" but without the BBQ and marquee.  However, the pub does stay open all afternoon and does both bar snacks and a decent choice of lunches.  The garden is child-friendly.  I'm trying to arrange for a set of giant Jenga in the garden so we can have a bit of fun too.

I've just found out that the Cross Keys' refurbishment of their restaurant and bar is due to be finished on the 18th, so that weekend will be an opportunity to admire the new fit-out and see if the menu has changed.

It would be good for R10 to make a good turn out on the day, so please try to come along "" even if only for an hour.

Meeting starts at 12.00 through till about 3.00pm.

If you can let me know that you can come that would be great, but if you change your mind on the day you will still be welcome.

Details of the Cross Keys can be found at:

There are just so many things on these days - part of the problem organising (or not) the Intermarque.[8|]

No doubt some people won't be venturing as far as the picnic or want to spend the whole day out, so our 'local' event is a good alternative. The AMOC area membership have a fine mix of Astons, from early models right up to the latest DB9's and Vantages. My personal favourites are the DB4's to 6's. [:)]

I will try to make it as its only round the corner from me. I'll probably only be able to stay for a short while though as it's my daughter's birthday

To add variety I have now also sent an open invitation to the Lamborghini Club UK, to see if any of their local members would like to join us on the day [:)].

Keep your fingers (...arms and legs..[8D]) crossed for good weather [8|].

I do like the Gallardo - so maybe the 911 & Porsche World Picnic isn't sounding quite so attractive now! Depends a bit on what time I can get back from Heathrow.

Hi - I would have luv'ed to come but I am just back from Hong Kong on that day !!! Will try to make the next one with you guys !!

Weather forecasts are mixed - most suggest a bit overcast for Saturday and Sunday, but only one so far is predicting (hopefully wildly inaccurately[:)]) the odd shower. So with luck it will be the perfect Goldilocks day for the pub meet (..."not too hot, not too cold...." [:D]).

Hopefully see you there.

I'll be along tomorrow with my cousin instead of going to the 911&PW Picnic - don't fancy queing for 3/4 hour to get in again!

Just joined PCGB,try to get there tomorrow
I bought a Cayman S from Silverstone Porsche,their demonstrator[:)][:D]

Well, we had a good turn-out today from R10 (and 24)[:)], and a couple of exceptional examples of the Aston Martin (athough no where near as many as one would have liked on such a glorious day [8|]) but I was seemingly unsuccessful in drawing the Lambo's out [&:]. No idea why - I doubt they can have the "it wouldn't start" excuse given they're part of the VW family (.....as we are....[8|])

See you next month at the OPC, or in November at Manor Farm, Hanslope for the fireworks and bbq.

Cheers

Mike is obviously learning weather control from Geoff Ives! Shame not to see some Lambos - perhaps the car park was too rough for them...?

More here.

The weather was glorious, unfortunately I could only stay for about an hour, but there were some very nice cars to look at in that time. It's a shame that I had to go before the photos in the above post were taken as I think mine was the only 944 there.
