Hi speeders!!!!

A bit of what we're going to get a talk on this Sunday ...........a van has been arranged to be at Helen Street so we can have a look inside and check out what they have and use for catching speeders. We will get a talk on various methods of speed detection including SPECS and the digital cameras which will include pictures.

We need to be at Helen Street for 11am so if we can all try and get there for 10.55am, that would be good. (Road Policing Compex 433 Helen Street Glasgow G51 3HH, just off junction 24 of the M8)

Brian has proposed that some of you may like to join him for breakfast [;)] at McDs, it is just across the road from the venue in Helen St next to Asda just off the M8 at 10.15am.

Anyone wishing to join the Edinburgh convoy is more than welcome. We will be meeting at the Deerpark Beefeater carpark, just off Junction 3 (Livingston) off the M8 heading west, and will be leaving 10.15am sharp to ensure we're at Helen Street for 10.55am.

A very enjoyable morning was spent at the police. camera. action .building.We where shown around the complex and given an in depth presentation as to how it all works ,and all the myths about cameras and camera vans .It was interesting to hear about the new digital /laser cameras that are replacing the Gatso ones and are operational 24/7 so you have been warned also the Specs average ones always though they measured your whole journey along the route, was not aware you can be done between just 2 poles on any given route and they work even better in the dark and changing lanes does not work [:D] A big thanks to David and his team for showing us around and to Chris for arranging the visit who was not there, possibly out catching speeding motorists[:D][:D]

Hi guys, glad you had a good morning in the home of the enemy lol and all urban myths were explained. David did tell me that Brian had a A4 piece of paper with all his questions it.......[8|] Brian I was given the speeders a rest today and was on my way up to see you all when I came across a caravaner who decided to try some off roading with his freelander while the van was attached.....[:(] it did'nt end well for either the freelander or the van.... See you all soon and look forward to seeing all the pictures.

School boy error Keith giving a cop your car...... possession being 9/10 of the law and the cop bing the other 10 [;)] you might get it bak for xmas if you ask nice.
