A special all day Sunday event is planned for the 6th August. It starts with a convoy drive from central London (with some stopovers for anyone to join in) to the historic Goodwood for breakfast. The Goodwood Breakfast Club is hosting a special German Sports Car breakfast where anyone can bring in their car and have it parked in a designated space for everyone to view.

The Breakfast Club is open from 9am to 1pm and offers all organic breakfast (see the site for the menu).

Depending on the numbers interested we will then continues with a convoy drive through beautiful Sussex into Kent where we will spend the afternoon at Chapel Downs Vineyard "" See this thread for details:

Please email R20@PORSCHECLUBGB.COM or call Adrien (07799645510) if you wish to join us.

Barry -

That's a great idea and would make for some good fun... but Pease Pottage is a bit of a detour for many who might be coming from the A40/A4/A3 out of London or via the M40/M4/M25. What is your route from Pease Pottage to Goodwood? Maybe there's a possibility of meeting up again half way?

Also, I've heard that the BMW Owners Club are planning to arrive at Goodwood for 9am, so we should be aiming to get there as early as possible to avoid being parked outside the gates...

STARTING RENDEZVOUS CONFIRMED

SUNDAY 6th AUGUST

MEET AT PORSCHE CENTRE WEST LONDON/CHISWICK 7AM

DEPARTURE AT 715AM

ROUTE: TO BE DISTRIBUTED ON DAY, BUT MOST LIKELY VIA USUAL TOMTOM ROUTE

PLEASE POST HERE TO ADVISE US IF YOU INTEND TO MEET AT CHISWICK SO WE KNOW WHETHER TO EXPECT YOU OR NOT

PLEASE ENSURE YOUR CAR IS SUFFICIENTLY FUELED AS WE WILL NOT BE MAKING ANY STOPS EN ROUTE TO GOODWOOD - A FULL TANK IS PREFERABLE IF YOU ARE CONTINUING AFTERWARDS FOR THE CHAPEL DOWN VINEYARD TOUR

Can you post details of the likely route from Chiswick, so that others can tag onto the convoy (if they can catch you!)?

Thanks,
tat

Hiya,
The route we will be taking is: A4 OPC -> Chiswick Roundabout -> A316 -> M3 -> M25 -> A3

I think there is someone who is going to tag along on A3 immediately outside M25 at the BP fuel pump though, this is not a stop-over just a phone call that we are approaching Wisley. I think we should be there (Wisley area) by 7:45-8am.

Hi. I have to pick someone up en route so I may have to go South Circ then A3. Are you taking the A286/7 off the A3 or taking A3 all the way to Fareham? Chiswick to Goodwood in 45 minutes is good going!!

Don't wait for me but I may see you guys on the way.

Okay Nick, I'll give you a call as soon as we depart OPC; just keep in mind we go over the A316-A308 roundabout on the flyover to M3. My number is O79 - 714O - 8799. Keep an eye out for a Ferry of Porsches[;)]. What car are we going to look out for?

Good news for all you Caffeine addicts:
I have arranged for Porsche West London to open the showroom doors for us, so we can use the tea/coffee machine and WC facilities. Just in case I don't get there first, the security guy there is called Sandy and he is going to open the place for us.

I was hoping someone with sat nav will reply on this; the last time Adrien's TomTom led us to the turning on the left at the Devil's Punch Bowl on A3... is that a sensible route? The traffic for FoS on that route was terrible, hoping Sunday would be a bit sensible...

It's usually quicker to go via Petworth. So come off the A3 at Milford, then through Petworth, onto Goodwood. Petworth is a good place to regroup as there's a large parking area in the middle of the village. A3/M25 Junction to Goodwood should take 50-60 minutes.
