We all know to lower the top in the new 981 is quicker than the old 987 and it is a quicker from 0-60 etc etc

So the question is ....

In a race between the the old 987 (non S) and the new 981 S (PDK with launch control) who wins the following ...

(Sitting in the car with the 'complete' key in your hand)

Unlock the glove box
Remove your sunglasses from the glove box
Shut the glove box
Start the car with the complete (re-assembled) key (Skip this bit in the 987 as you don't need to [;)])
Start and drive 100 yards
Stop the car
Open the glove box and replace your sunglasses
Lock glove box
Finish with the complete (re-assembled) key in your hand (there is a clue here)

So who wins .......

biased test from 987 owner []

Nope and I'd go further than that an early (pre-glove box in dash version) would be quicker than the 987 as the lockable glove box is in the centre console.

If you haven't experienced the 981/991 valet key to open the glove box ... Try it and you will understand the 'teaser'
