If you can get to drive it... Our drive was cancelled by the Salesman yesterday - 10 min before we were due to leave home to drive there...
It seems that a drive each (both Claire and myself) is "out of the question" even though that is what the young ladies booking them at the launch suggested[]

So, I think 2 year old letter of intent to that dealer now cancelled.
Idiot.[8|]

Does anyone have any Idea as to the lenght of delay for delivery if I were to order one now??

If you call PC Park Lane London W1 they have Feb slot available for March delivery. Also have 6+ highly specced cars coming December / January available immediately
I got all this info of a salesperson called Nathan Hodnett 020 7514 0900 [8D]

"Saturdays are Manic"

This in spite of booking a slot each at the Launch (at thier suggestion)

I'm VERY angry.
1 hour (1 slot) ok. 2 hours (2 slots - one each) No.

So cost of 1 hour? About 45,000 pounds by my recconing...

I was informed at the beginning of last week that a 2.7 could be available in Sept '05 and an S in June '05.

This was from a different OPC to where I have my money (Reading). They can get you an S for about April if you order now.

So you should be so lucky. Even though I had placed a firm order and paid £4K deposit I had to fight for a single slot at 2pm on a Thursday. I was rewarded with a whole 20 minutes driving around the back lanes of Sutton Coldfield! The salesman's comment - "I do have other things to do besides test drives you know".

Apparently my Boxster is just one of 33 new cars he is due to deliver in March 2005, no doubt many of them 997s, so I knew my place!

[]I didn't place my money on the table until after my test drive and final spec was decided by me. I was allowed a very pleasant 75 minute test drive and look forward to being an owner sometime in March 05.

After 22 years at PC West London the customer service, due in part to many personel changes, had become unacceptable to me so I moved to another PC who were more than happy to treat me as expected and illustrated above. My current sales contact always returns calls or emails and being a car enthusiast too he enjoys meeting like minded customers for a change!

There is no way I am prepared to spend £45K with a company that doesn't give a toss about giving me a few hours of there time every 2/3years. I have since visited a further 2 PC looking at specs etc and as I am not an exisiting customer they both were bending over backwards to answer my questions. I think a change can sometimes be a good thing when Porsche buying [:D]
