sunroof bag

There are loops built into the boot locks (the bits the pins go into on the inside of the rear panel), you thread the straps on the long edge through those & do them up as you would a helmet strap (in through both metal hoops on the bag, back through one).

Just bought a sunroof bag and would like to know how it is secured in the boot, it has straps and twin d buckles on one side, twin d buckles on the other side and a velcro strap on one side, the handbook is no help as it shows a bare strap arrangement. can anyone help please, many thanks.

I still don't get it the straps and loops are at the same end of the bag but on either side, and what is the velcro strap for,all these parts serve a certain purpose but what?,thanks John.

I am just surprised that someone has gone to the trouble of designing a sunroof bag with straps buckles and velcro in specific places and no one knows what they are for, it is no big deal but I am still interested in what they were for , John.

I gave up trying to figure it out. When I tried actually attaching the straps to anything, the bag and roof ended up suspended instead of sitting on the boot carpet. Can’t have been right.

Once you have solved this conundrum you could, for your next challenge, buy a cab and try to fit the hood cover into the vinyl storage bag which is about the size of a Christmas postage stamp. I've seen it doen so I know it's possible, but there are no instructions and I'm damned if I could ever do it.

When you say straps do you mean the ones attached to the bag or the extra ones that come with the car that tie the bag down (which are usually missing) ??

These are all part of the bag,on the zip side, where the sipper ends up when closed there aer two sets of what I will call D rings,no straps.Turn the bag over and on the same edge ther are two straps 35cm long with D rings on one edge sewn to the bag at the D ring end, and between these two straps there is a 35cm vercro strap sewn to the bag, what are they all for, thanks John.

Yes I think you are on the right track, it is strange that the number of these bags that have been made how few people know how they were meant to be used. John.
