sunroof problem

Do you have the ignition on? To retract the arms (releasing the panel) the ignition needs to be at position 1. To raise & lower the roof you need to have the ignition at 2 (lights on on in the dash). Activating the central locking should make the roof lock too if the panel has been released. Lots of possible problems with the sunroof mechanism, both mechanical & electrical. I'd have a look on Clarkes Garage.

I have a problem with my sunroof, when you push the switch to lock it back into place and raise the sunroof nothing happens.Am I being stupid or is something broke ?

Thanks very much I am new to 944's so there may be a few stupid questions that I need answering. The sunroof is now sorted panic over.

Good to hear that it's fixed, what was the problem. Any new owner to 944's should bookmark [link=http://www.clarks-garage.com]www.clarks-garage.com[/link] asap, it is a brilliant resource for the 944 [:)]

While I am at it I have another question,I have just bought a 944 s2,G172 WAR . On the log book it states that it is a cabrio.I have all the paper work invoices and checks up untill 1999 when the last owner bought it and used it occasionally as he was a collector that says it is a genuine car.So is the cabrio bit on the log book a mistake or is there another reason ?

ORIGINAL: dodgydal On the log book it states that it is a cabrio.
It's a common error by the DVLA [8|] My own coupe is listed as a Cabrio and many people apparently own a Turbo Lux (no such thing) while a few S2 owners are listed as an S or a lot of us are driving cut n shuts []
