Just fixed the (late type) sunroof, following instructions on Clarke's.
In my case (from the previous owner) the cable was miles out of position, both gears were stripped and the limit switches didn't.
Just to pass on a few shortcuts.
1. Check the limit switches with a multimeter as well as mechanically - saves time later. My limit switches didn't make because the bracket was out of position, not because they were faulty.
2. Do the adjustments manually - this way you're in the back, don't need an assistant and can hear the limit switches working - or not. The cable/cam can be positioned because you can see what's happening, rather than trying to electrically drive it to what you hope is the right position.
3. Reassemble the gear housings and drive bars with the sunroof closed - easy to count teeth as there will only be 2 or 3 showing (same for both sides). Can easily adjust cable cam to limit switch position for closed position.
Hope this is useful - it worked for me [
