Sunroof Slow - 1998 C2

Just recently my sunroof seems to be getting slower and slower....... the tilt function works fine, but today in the cold morning sunshire I pressed the button to slide all the way back, it eventually got there but would not close fully again without the help from me.

Once it had come forward by a few inches it was fine and closed fully.

Any suggestions, does it need lubrication in any form ?

Thanks

The same has just started to happen on mine. Any ideas out there.

I think the operating cables are lubricated with grease. This will harden with age and probably the recent cold weather isn't helping either. The cure is maintanance, nothing is forever.

Try operating the roof manually with the key to check if mechanism is tight or binding. If it is, same advise as before, if not then look to the motor.

Oops! these later cars don't get keys? I was lost in the good old days there for while.
