its driving me mad. have removed it and put it back and that sorts the problem out for about 2 days.

squeeking stops when i open the sunroof but in this weather thats not possable...any advice?

You could try some WD40 or a thin smear of Vaseline around the seals to lubricate the contact area.

I have the same problem but only when the car is cold. It seems that when I have been in it for a while and the cabin is warm thae squeeking stops.

Or better still use some glycerine. It won't rot the rubber but will keep it supple.

another stupid question(sorry guys) where do i get Glycerine from. im presuming it's in a gel ?

I guess not - never used it myself. What about dissolving it in water and then using the resultant goop?[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]I'd just buy some silicone spray lubricant and use that myself. Or you could try a fine powder as a dry lubricant.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Just keep it away from any nitric acid you may have floating around in the condiments cupboard and you'll be fine! [:D]

why does a line from the italian job spring to mind [:D]

"you were only ment to blow the bloody doors off" ....guess that would stop the dam thing squeeking [;)]

Are you sure it's for the Porsche? You haven't got a DB5 with an ejector seat?
if its a DB9 its in very good disguise.. better not tell the insurence company as they think its a 944S2 []

Helen,

Go to Halfords (resist the temptation to buy undercar neons) and buy an aerosol of Holts Plastic and Rubber lubricant, it's under a fiver.

This stuff is also excellent to squirt in the channels that the windows run in. Makes them open and close much quicker. Its also good for curing squeaky tailgates and reducing embarressing noises at bondage parties

It tastes blooming 'orrible tho [:'(]
