sunroof white cog bits

Dunno what the part number is but a description to your local OPC will have them ordered. When I bought them I found that Euro Car Parts did them for less than £2 each, which was the best price.

Easy to fit. But you need to understand what goes on with the sunroof to get the settings right. Print out and read ALL of the relevant section from Clarks Garage and only tackle the job when you understand it fully. (It's not hard, and the job won't take more than 20 minutes with just one screwdriver, but you risk ruining your new cogs if you fit them wrongly. Ask me how I know. Actually, on second thoughts, don't ask me how I know ... [])

Best advice that's not in Clarks is to slacken off the clutch in the boot until it slips all the time, and then tighten it just enough to make it work. And do this before you fit the new cogs.

Hey Oli how do you know about the cog mis fit problem mate [:D]

( only kidding, I don't want you to swear at me [;)] )

Part number is: 944-564-430-01 (85 onwards) for the white cog.

The Porsche website has a very good parts catalog and the diagrams make it pretty easy to figure out how to bodge it all together! [;)]

Oli.

This is solid advise (a tight clutch is the reason most cogs break) that someone only learns from experience.
