Super sport get together

Just a thought why don't we all get together somewhere convenient for everyone in the summer would be a great photo.

Sounds like a fabulous idea. I'll need to make sure my Supersport credentials are in order. I have a car that was sold as a Supersport before I knew what one was. It seemed a great car at the time irrespective of its Supersport or RUF credentials.

Wide body is good enough for me let really get this thing going. I wanted a cab but had small children and wife wanted them in full seat belts. Was doing a deal on a silver one with 26k on the clock for 24k the good old days seven years ago.

Just a suggestion................How about Silverstone Classic ? We will be there for the whole weekend.

Or...........The National event at Althorpe House ?

Or...........Somewhere else independently. Lets pick a spot and make a day or weekend of it.

I am up for that , we could all meet up at Silverstone at a club meeting or something , then have a drinky in the bar .

Just a thought

Or the national event at Althorpe

Mike

Not available Silverstone Classic week but could make Althorp - think its the 15th August - looks interesting day out too.

just thinking about it , getting a parking spot at the National day could prove difficult with all other cars there , just for Supersports only parking is what I mean .

Mike

Maybe at PCGB cornbury house one Sunday on one of there open days

The idea has been put forward and it will be discussed by the Directors at tomorrow's Board Meeting.

A Supersport display falls under the Anniversary displays for Althorpe. (It is 30 years since the introduction)

Watch this space.

Nooooo just spoke to my wife to start the early sale but found out I'm on holiday. We are never going to get everyone so the one most people can go has got to be the one.

Can't do the National Event as on holiday as i guess are a lot of people ( school holidays ) but can do the Silverstone Classic

Regards

Ian

Hi Mike
The matter was discussed at the meeting we mentioned before . We have the space if we want it at Althorp .The details will be further discussed at the Workers conference on the 18th April . If we can get definite numbers for attendance we can put this to the new Register Director , who actually had one of the 3 , 915 Targa models in recent times, and he will allocate space , how much that will be , depends on --- well your guess is as good as mine . Sorry we didn't get back before but we also run the Display register and we would like that to be represented on that event so have been negotiating that as well . On top of that we are on the Concours team , are organising Porkers in the Trough and to cap it all our Supersport finally threw its toys out of the pram and blew its clutch. We have been slightly busy .
Do not despair though the week after the workers conference we are away with the 3.2 Register in Yorkshire where we are organising one of the runs and no doubt will have a long chat with Steve and Sue . It all looks rosy and we will definitely have a Supersport park up at Althorpe . If you have any ideas on this and would like to help or add some wisdom feel free to give us a call or e mail us on Display @ porscheclubgb.com you can do it here but as I said --busy and really don't spend too much time here .

Cheers the noo
Mac and Sue

I am also in on this

There cant be many SSEs left now so the more we can get the better , this will probably be the one and only time this will happen ,and a great picture

Mike

The Display of Supersports is definitely on for Althorpe.

We now need owners to get in touch with us by email at display@porscheclubgb.com so that we can answer all questions individually.

The idea is that we will send some form of identification to each owner who is willing to display their car so that the Supersport cars are sent to the correct place on the site. Obviously this will happen at a later date.

Please be sure that you are fully committed to the display so that we do not leave a space for someone who is not going to turn up on the day.

Let's try to make this something really special.

Thanks
