It's easy. If you ever find a Super Sport version of a 964 you can be guaranteed that it's a fake!! They never produced any.
If you mean specifically wide bodied cars that's another story. The only 964s produced with a wide body (apart from the Turbos of course) were the 1992 WTL cabriolets (which would show Option 491 in their option list) or the 1993 wide bodied Coupes marketing outside the US as Jubilee or Celebration models with a limited colour range. There were versions of both sold in the US as the America Roadster (the cab) and the wide bodied C4 Coupe in 1994.
To distinguish a factory wide bodied car from an aftermarket conversion can be very difficult - depending on how well the conversion has been done. Many conversions will have the wheel arches extended but still retain the narrow body trailing arms and you can spot that by the very inboard position of the rear brake discs. However, it's possible to fit the narrow body trailing arm to a pukka wide body (to increase rear wheel width) so you can't use that as an absolute test.
