If anyone is interested in the supercharged 2.7 rather cheap on Ebay at the moment, I have had a couple of looks at it in the flesh so can fill you in on some of the details if you can't get to look at it yourself. An interesting project for someone!

Cunningly disguised as a 2.5... Pretty dire advertising of the car... Has about a day left to go now... Sorry, I'm not very good with links at the best of time, never mind from my mobile!

Ah found it Tref

I'd like to know what you thought of it. Saying that just checked and it's an auto. Ffs why an auto who wants a fast auto 'sports car' that rules out track fun for starters ! !

Yep, that it is an auto was the most significant thing that ruled it out for me. It doesn't deliver to the road what it feels like the engine is producing. The odometer says it has done 200k miles... I have no reason to believe e that isn't genuine mileage! It is a shame that the donkey work is done. It runs, it pulls as well as the auto box will allow, it idles ok once warm (although a bit fast). It is a Mercedes compressor, no clutch, smaller pulley, with a dump valve, but no air cleaner fitted... The car has had new sills at some point, or cover sills - no jacking point diamond, and no seam where there should be at the back of the door. The paintwork is flat, and a few "bits" that need attention all over the place. The interior is filthy, with a black rear seat top on an otherwise cream cloth interior. The heater blows hot, and heater control knows broken off, I believe from trying to turn it down past zero... No prizes if it isn't the infamous plastic clip gone! I was tempted to develope the supercharger in the car, then transfer it to something more worthwhile, put the head on a 3litre bottom end into a Turbo, and er, don't know about the rest! Hope this helps.

Sorry, I only just got your mail (I really must change my mail on this forum to one I can access more easily!). I take it you didn't buy it?

Bent not or blind not tester. Rear of will / jack point completely non existent. I'm not after a welding type project. A parts / scrap car to my mind. It is in a scrap yard so it's not surprising though :)
