Suspension boots

Hi,

Back in the Club after a short break... good to see you all again.

I spent a while yesterday looking over the car in good time prior to the Goodwood day that I've booked for April. I noticed that the offside suspension boot doesn't seem to be attached at the bottom end - see picture. The boot for the nearside strut is also open at the bottom, but the gap is not so large.

Does anyone know if this is this normal/correct? Instinctively, it seems wrong.

BTW - wasn't saying that that was the way they are supposed be, but am fairly sure there's no gap on mine when wheels are fully laden.
