Suspension - Help...

I am getting a tyre rub when going over bumps... this has increased over the last few months and now is evident on tight motorway slip roads. The car 911C2 (95) has been lowered and the springs used are white but cant see any reference numbers/makers etc.......I am happy with the height of the vehicle and to date handling (I have the RS settings set by Tognola)

Do I need new shocks?

I have read the articles on full suspension replacement etc etc...just need some advice.

The car is used mainly on motorways and country lanes etc ... no track...

Any ideas?

Many thanks

In the absence of any words of wisdom from other members I'd have thought the obvious route is to get a professional to take a look. Tony Wright at Wrightune in Wallingford is reasonably local to you and will collect and deliver the car. very reasonable service and charges. 01491 826911.

best of luck

You don't say if you have replaced the dampers or if you have replaced anything else. It is not a simple matter of lowering to RS ride height without doing other things to the setup.

Good advice above. run it into an indie who knows what they are doing and ask for advice.

The car has already been lowered.....before I purchased it .... the coils/springs are white in colour but dont appear to have any markings....I am guessing the shocks are v.old and had it......so prob looked at shock replacement.

I will take it to indie (prob Tognola) they do all my servicing and have been well impressed.

If it is shocks ... any advice... for standard road use?

Will this stop tyre rub?

Note tyre rub has increased over last few months.

Many thanks

You may note from past threads ( and tech info) that Bilstein HD's seem to do the trick.
