Suspension knock

Ahh. Cheers. Sounds less expensive! Will have a slide underneath shortly. Good job i'm slim. Well, slimish...

I had this and feared the worst (ball joint) but it turned out to be the arb bush popping in and out of the arm. Tightened it up and happy days!

Something I have been meaning to ask for a while: how do you get under these cars? The valance on the S2 is too low for my ramps - so can't use these. And the trolley jack also snags on the valance.

Should I dig a pit in the driveway?

Use the scissor jack in the boot to raise one side of the car via the jacking point in the centre of the sill (indicated by a diamond indent), get the car high enough to get your trolley jack or axle stand under the car, repeat for the other side if needed. You should be able to use your trolley jack directly on the jacking point if the car hasn't been lowered.

There are several places under the car to put axle stands but the front of the sill isn't one of them [;)]

I have a wide topped Jack with a rubber piece on the jacking point of the jack. This has been fine :).

Buy a Clarke motorsport trolley jack from Machine Mart/Flea Bay comes in sexy anodised blue and silver alloy and fits under a lowered MO30 944 just nicely !
