Hi has anybody had experience with replacing the rear suspension links(small ones with bushes either end) or the rear antiroll bar?
Iam wondering if my dull clunk from the rear is related to these as my driveshafts are fine.
cheers
Alan

I've replaced mine, but that was because I needed to replace the fronts and it was cheaper to buy the M030 than the S2 originals, weirdly enough.
When does the sound happen? Thats the best was to find out whats causing it - ie road speed related, engine speed related, over bumps, going round left or right corners.
Mine used to make a dull clunk after I changed the hand brake shoes, I'm not sure what it was exactly but it was because the hand brake was slightly too tight causing the shoes catch.

I have no noise when going straight it is only if i turn left or right...dunk,dunk noise a couple of times and thats all.
Its not a metalic metal type noise, more of a dull noise.

It is probably worth replacing them anyway as is the case with pretty much every 944 out there. These bushes should really be considered as consumables - even though they have a replacement interval of say 10 - 15yrs. They don't last forever and even if there is no noticeable play their compliance will have reduced over the years and so wont be working as intended.
