Ok have rebuilt ball joints got a 968cs arb with poly bushes new struts ( standard) and standard springs. I get a twang type noise from the front end during tight turns. Sounds like a spring binding then letting go. or could be tension in the arb. Ive checked the top mounts, they are good and nearly new. Are the sided and can I have put then on the wrong side? or has anyione had a similar noise its driving me mad rest of suspension is all good and new. Any idea's ?????

I've the got the top mounts in with the peg located properly. I just wondered if they were sided ie passenger and driver side ?
I hope not...[]
better check PET - I bet there's only one part number
I've just ordered new drop link bushes. the ones on the arms as they are the only part of the front suspension that hasn't been changed. It's a loud twang noise. Sounds like the roll bat going under tension and poping back or the springs being rotated and getting stuck and then releasing.

Maybe I have the wrong idea, but assuming you do not have to corner too hard in order to make the noise you could always remove the ARB and see if the noise goes away.
I suggest that since in my experience ARB bushes and bits being gone tend to rattle and knock, but there are no hard and fast rules.

Didn't get a chance over the weekend to have a look. Will get it on a four post ramp this weekend and turn the steering from side to side. That will let me see what's going on. I think it's probably a top mount, but they are both new and seem to be fine. However the spring sounds like its twisting in its mount. So only looking and changing the top mounts will tell me if I'm right. I'll let you know what happens.
