After much thought and almost buying some coilovers ihave ordered a set of Bilstein B6 (£850 from Carnewal ) ,
Some control arms and will check top mounts etc before re-assembly . I think the original springs will be ok .

I hope this will make a nicer ride quality ( car is 53k miles and ride is crashy over bumps ) . The handling is great on smooth
Surfaces , so a geo check afterwards and all should be well .

Should be a little over £1500 which is much less than Adjustable coilover route , keeps car original and should be adequate
For road use and occasional track fun day

I had B6s fitted to my 996T - I'm sure you will appreciate the difference. It is worth checking the ride heights too, as the rear springs can sag.

Thanks Richard , will check .
Shocks arrived today from Belgium ( cheaper in euros )
Will start the job next tuesday and try to post some pics

Watch out for the import tax mate!

Usually comes a week or two later from the shipping company.😫

Tried coil overs but dropped ride height too much and looked bad.

Reverted back to new shocks and new springs all round plus front top months.

Brilliant ride now, rears still a little hard but all set up and drives like fresh out of the factory 😃

The VAT was already paid as Belgium is part of EU . Not expecting any more import charges ..

The job is well underway now . Ride height checked as within tolerance and bushes and top mounts
Are ok . Should all be back together today , so looking forward to feeling the difference .

Update - all back together and drives well if a bit crashy over bumps . Hopefully a good geo set up
Can help with correct camber settings etc . Would be nice to book it in at Centre Gravity if i can manage
A trip Down from Newcastle . Quite a long waiting list but im off to Malta soon anyway :)
