Suspension set up for Motorsport

Can anyone recommend a Porsche specialist in the Birmingham/Solihull area that is experienced in checking and setting up suspensions for motorsport use please? I have a 2012 981 Boxster S which I use for sprints and hillclimbs and want to find someone with whom I could work in trying to get the car to handle the way I like. Thanks, Steve

Presume you aren't an R9 attender? I don't know the answer myself but you could ask Paul Seagrave who is a racer. I don't have his contact details but I'm sure RO Mandy Sutch could put you in touch. mandysutch@gmail.com

for motor sport you are going to need a lot of new parts, as nothing is really adjustable to any degree.

this is the best kit imo and you get to keep your shocks so save £££ over a full coil over kit.

you can then adjust balance on the ARB etc

Thank you to all who responded so quickly. I will definitely be contacting Centre Gravity in the near future. Have either of you guys who recommended CG actually used them or are you just passing on comments from others?

To Mr. Demon, my car has PASM so I would probably only think about upgrading the ARBs. How much would they cost?

Cheers,

Steve

There are many members of PCGB (I'd guess >100) who use CG and are very happy with the service and expertise. You should have no doubts about using them.

+1 My son has used them on several occasion on his Boxster and raves about them. Too far away for me though

I have KW sway bars for sale - stiffer and more adjustment than stock, PM me if you are interested. CG installed fully adjustable suspension on my Cayman.

Thank you to all who replied. Based on your comments and recommendations I went to Centre Gravity a few weeks ago and what an experience!
It was Pete Leason who dealt with me and he was just great. He listened to what I had to say, then we went for a test drive over their standard route and he confirmed back to me where his assessment concurred with mine. Back in the workshop (after I had made us all drinks!) the car went on their rig to obtain a set of "before" measurements and again we discussed how these related to what I felt (too much understeer/too much grip at the rear). Pete then ascertained what I hoped to get out of any changes (a car that I could drive rather than one which did its own thing) and explained how he hoped to able to achieve these aims.
Eventually all was done and he showed me under the car where the suspension adjustments had been made and then what the new geometry settings were. This was then followed up by another drive, first with Pete in control to check the outcome was as he had expected, then for me to try it out.
Initial impressions were good and these have been confirmed over the following weeks. I now have a car with a front end that feels really keyed into the road, is much more responsive and exhibits negligible understeer. The back end is looser, more mobile and no longer feels as if it is going to hang on no matter what. A definitive analysis will have to wait until my first Sprint (at Rockingham at the end of the month) but suffice to say I am now looking forward to this season with a considerable degree of anticipation.
Someone mentioned the cost - well a concentrated half day's work for £325 including VAT seems worth every penny. I cannot think of anything else I could have done or bought for the same money which would have achieved so much improved enjoyment of my "big boy's toy".
