Suspension Spring Identification

Hi,

I have just bought a second hand set of springs on E-Bay (99p...[:)] )

I've read Maurice's info on suspension markings with regard to identifying upgraded components M030 etc, but cannot find the info for standard suspension components

Does anyone know the colour markings to confirm the standard springs, they have a mauve / purple type blob on each one - is this correct?

Thanks - I'll give them a clean and confirm the colours - I never was very good at discriminating between the various shades [:)]
