Sussex Region badge

Just a thought.... (prompted by the badges John brought back from Singapore a few weeks ago)

Most registers have a badge showing their allegiance to the club, but also indicating their own 'sub-group'. Any chance of one to show our belonging to the Sussex Region? We are fortunate in having a shield type emblem for Sussex which would fit very nicely wth the format of the other logos (AG and Club)

If you imagine the forum banner heading but put the words Porsche Club Great Britain along the top line, the AG badge / Sussex shield / PCGB shield across the next line and then SUSSEX REGION across the bottom.

I'll try and sketch or photoshop one and post it.

Worth trying?

I think you'll find the AG badge and anything else is asking for problems.
The Club has just gone through several years of negotiation to enable it to use the AG badge and the Club badge alongside each other - and then only to formats and on items approved by Porsche.

Te Singapore club uses the same approved formats as we do.

Porsche guard thier logos and the Porsche shield more actively than any other carmaker I can think of. Try finding any non-official merhandise with it on - there's not much! (and only because Porsche haven't caught up with them yet...)

The Club-badge and the Sussex shield might well be ok though, but before you do too much why not see if Peter already has a logo? We just may not have seen it for a while!

Well, accepting Marks comments above, imagine this with the AG shield changed for a Sussex one (can you believe I can't find an image of the Sussex shield anywhere despite looking a dozens of council and other websites)

A region badge has been discussed before some years ago but we never did sort one out. In the 'old' days we could have knocked up our own and agreed it with Club Office, I'm not sure that it is too more onerous at the moment but Mark is right that the use of the CI Club logo may be restricted and we would more than likley use the design facilities available to us through Cornbury House.

If you can drop me a line at r23@porscheclubgb.com we can chat off-line about it and if possible progress the idea further. In the meantime I'll forward this message to Bob Lovelace as Regional Director for information.
