With a lot of the RS register based in the South East why not have an infomral 964 RS table at the following event. We consistently get tables from Surrey, Sussex, London and Kent. We have allocated over 80 tickets in two weeks and we will limit the numbers to around 130. Why not Mel to organise a table?
Sussex Region Dinner Dance 2004
Saturday 24th January 2004 at Le Meridien, Gatwick.
The evening will kick off with a champagne reception and canapes before we move to the our dedicated room where we will be served with another of David Woods's 4 course creations. Coffee will follow before I inflict 20 minutes if me drawing the evenings raffle and thanking those who make the evening possible! The evening is rounded of with a disco and dancing (as I've said previously we hand pick the disco so that the floor stays full all evening!!).
Last time we still had members socialising at 3 a.m. although I personally gave up the ghost at 1 (old age setting in!).
The theme for this years evening is "A Celebration of Porsche on the Track". We theme our evenings so that I have something to mould the evening around and the attendees have a few different things of interest on the night - beats the bland meal in a faceless room approach!
An addition this year is an afternoon event. Designed for those members taking advantage of the special deal we organise for accomodation at the hotel (details to follow), although anyone attending the dinner is welcome. I have arranged for a private tour of one of Sussex's oldest vineyards at Nyetimber, near West Chiltington. The vineyard is not normally open to the general public. The tour and tasting will be given by the vineyards wine maker, the vineyard itself being in possession of several awards for its produce. The cost is £10 per head (which they will generously offset against purchases on the day!) and the tour will take place mid afternoon on the Saturday. Places wil be limited to 25 so if you are interested please book both your Dinner and Tour tickets ASAP.
As I mentioned above, the hotel give us a special rate for accomodation, parking and breakfast - Room only is £50 per room with packages to include breakfast and parking.
One last word, the evening is such a good event that many members bring friends or family with them. We encourage this and all are made most welcome. If you wish to book as a party and sit together that's no problem and all dietary requirements are catered for!
Those in Sussex will receive a mailshot and booking form during November, however, with the tour places limited you may wish to book prior to arrival of that form. Those outside the region (again very welcome as we always get tables from London, Surrey and Kent) please call either Peter or Marianne on 01293 886759 where we can take you booking, arrange accomodation & tour if required and give you payment details.
Here's looking forward to a great evening!
Oh, and the cost for the Dinner.....£37.50 per head.
