Way back in April we tried an alternative meeting at the Swancote near Bridgnorth we had a good turnout for the first meeting, over 20 cars, with many new friends being made & a good alternative to the two usual regional evening venues for those that find these meetings difficult to attend due to other commitments. We have another meeting booked for Sunday 09/10/05 from 12.00 midday, this time I have arranged for Dave Griffiths from Shrewsbury to come along & give a short presentation. This is a short extract from Dave's website to give an idea of what we can expect:[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]"Dave Griffiths has been involved with racing cars for thirty years mainly in connection with Sports Cars, having prepared Porsches for David Piper, Richard Attwood, Derek Bell & Brian Redman to name a few. He has also prepared Ferraris for Nick Mason and been part of an historic team of Ferrari at Marranello. He has a worldwide reputation in the preparation of the Porsche 917 having won races all over the world."[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]I hope you will find time in your busy calendars to come along & support us & help make this alternative venue a more regular event, please pass on this information to anyone else you know that may be interested.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

at the moment we have the 914 meet at Donington Park grandprix museum from noon on the saturday 8th Oct but nothing on the 9th,

its a bit of a treck for us but might be worth it to attend this

Would be great to see Lazza & yourself Helen, we do appreciate how remote our region can be & the effort members make to attend from the outlying areas or other regions.
