Swiped in the airport car park.. thoughts ?

Just got back home from holiday to see this little present left by someone else while in the airport car park (sensibly parked at the back of the car park and all that) I won’t start about my opinions on these type of people, they are fairly self explanatory 😡

Anyway, I’ve called the car park to check CCTV E.t.c, damage seems fairly light, mainly just some filler required on the lower part. The one bit I’m not sure about is the wheel arch surround/ moulding. It has slightly come away from the main body work, only by a bit 🤏 but I notice it, and I’ll not be happy until it’s back to perfect. Is this trim stuck on, or attached by clips?

Trying to work out potential costs and if insurance (assuming they don’t find the lovely person that hit it) or self funding the repair is the right way.

You might get more replies if you post in the general rather than the Cayenne only forum

And strictly you must inform your insurers, even if you self fund the repair

Morning Joseph,
Unlike the earlier ones I think the newer ones are stuck on, shouldn’t be too much of an issue to replace or refit hopefully. Porsche supply them new if you need it replaced, but I’m fairy sure they don’t supply them colour coded you would still have to get it painted either way.

This kind of stuff really grinds my gears. It wouldn’t be too painful if the culprit left a note and sorted everything but when it’s left to you to do the running around it’s not on.

Hopefully you’ll get a reg plate from the car park owners and I’d suggest submitting a police report.

Can’t help on the trim but you’ll more than likely need a bumper respray.

Dan
