Switchable Sports exhaust - change the default mode

Hi Guys
I had the exhaust fitted last November and the sound is really something else - far noisier than the standard exhaust.

To be honest it really is too loud to use it all the time and the default mode is with it selected to 'noise'. This can be really annoying in the morning or when I want to be 'discrete' and unassuming. No problem if you remember to switch it off - but I don't always remember to do that and don't expect the wife even uses the switch!

I would like the default mode to be 'off' so that when I start it up.

Is it just a case of swapping the wires over on the switch? Or is it more complicated than that? Any idea and guidance would be most welcome.

The switch in the dash is a push button that controls the relay.
You can't change anything there.
The most easy solution is to place a simple relay with an normally closed contact onto the 2 wires of the solenoid.
That way you can inverse the settings of the PSE.

PM me if you need a drawing.

Peter, were you in "stealth mode" on Cross Street last week? I was hoping you'd give it a blast so that I could hear the difference! Your car is looking well by the way.

Hi Rob

To be honest, in a closed area like Winkley Square, its rather embarassing to have it on in 'non-stealth' mode in town - everyone looks!

I can just imagine them all saying " Look at that daft old begger - who does he think he is " And I agree I am am daft old git before any of you jump at that!!!

I'll let you hear it tomorrow night at the club evening.

By the way - thanks for the compliment too!

look forward to seeing you there - hope the forecast rain stays away. watch out for the bridge on the A6 by Preston Jag centre, 2 boy racers had an unpleasant RTA last night (think a Peugeot 106 took off on the bridge and ended up buried within the forecourt on sale cars and on fire) and I wonder if a special eye may be kept open for speedy sounding vehicles at the moment?
