Swop-Wanted a early 911 for a Mint 3.2 Carrera G50

Hi
Looking for a early 911 in return for my mint 89 3.2 Carrera.

Is there any models which I should be looking? I assume 911T, I guess a 911S will be out of my reach.
Might consider a project?

Peter

What value are you putting on your 3.2? Is it L or RHD? £15K -£20K? If so then you will not find a half decent early 911 at that money. 911Ts from mid £20Ks, Es from mid £30Ks, Ss up to £90K

Cars valued around 18-19k
What about a import from the usa as a project.
Are their anywhere where i can research into the do's and don'ts?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have thought of a 912?

There are dozens of project cars available in the USA from £10K upwards (landed). Be very careful buying from the USA, they really do not know what rust is, partly as they have no annual MOT system, partly because their cars rust from the inside out, after water gets in through dry screen seals and sits in the sound deadening on the rear parcel shelf and seat pans. The best resource in the UK is DDK

On your budget you are not going to get more than a 'T'

check out pelicanparts and earlySregistry in USA for cars over there

make sure you get anything you are interested in, wherever it may be, correctly inspected - there are just as many rusting cars in the UK as there are in the USA!! Larger volume of stuff for sale over there though...

Are you happy with LHD?

Have you driven an early 911 - I would try and do so before you think of swapping further...

DDK is a good resource for learning...
