System error: Amplifier, Navigation System, Phone not available

After having a flat battery on my 2007 Boxster S 987, the message "System error: Amplifier, Navigation System, Phone not available" comes up on screen when I try to turn on the radio. Accompanied by complete silence (although the CD player seems to be operating, although without sound). I've checked the fuses and all appear to be OK. Has anyone experienced this issue in the past? Any suggestions gratefully received.

Anything else not working eg interior lights?

If the battery goes flat the car can resort to transportation (from the factory) mode and lose function. I 'lost' the heated seats on my car when the battery went flat and the Porsche dealer charged 1/2 hours labour to recode them.

I think all those devices are on the "MOST" fibre optic loop - and a break in the loop makes everything stop talking - look for obvious orange "wires" plugged into stuff ( amp in the frunk? , phone module under drivers seat I think) - if one device is poorly you can prove/bypass it with a MOST bypass ( something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/WGCD-Optical-Adapter-Mercedes-Porsche/dp/B076BFVP8B/ref=sr_1_4_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=MOST+bypass&qid=1619306086&sr=8-4-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExUzNaMlBXSUFRV0wmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA1NjkyNzkxWEU3REpSWFlCVE1VJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA0NDQxOTIyV0pSWTVMOUExSFJaJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==)

suspicious that it happened after a flat battery - so the handover reset described above might help - but that sounds like a physical "issue" to me.

Depending on whereabouts you are located - you may be able to find a nearby forum member with the appropriate diagnostics to plug in and see whats being logged.

I’m only guessing here but on the assumption that you just recharged the flat battery while it was still connected to the car I’d be tempted to disconnect the recharged battery and then reconnect after a couple of minutes, unless someone here is certain that would introduce yet another problem.

Car parked outside in the cold and/or do you have an after market phone system?

Thanks for the post. The car is kept in a garage and has the Porsche standard PCM entertainment system with factory fitted Bose sound.

Thanks for the post. Everything else seems to be working fine.

Thanks for the post. Fibre optic loops are a new world for me, and one I think I’ll leave to the experts!

Thanks Andrew, I’ll give it a try.
