I'm thinking that I should like to give my car a bit of extra shine. It's been regularly waxed "" probably far too regularly for its own good. Perhaps once a month? [

I use MER as did the previous owner. As I say, it looks good but I'm thinking it's just a bit short of gleaming.
So, would it benefit from me removing the half inch thick coating of wax (well, perhaps not quite that much) that it carries at the moment?
I know about the show finishes that can be achieved with some of the high end products but frankly, I don't have the time or finances to commit to them.
So, should I get to work with a can of T-Cut or is there something a little more specialist that won't break the bank?
I have Seal Grey metallic paintwork. It's been generally very well looked after with no evidence of swirling from inept polishing. I just want to raise that shine! [8D]
