Tail pins and paint

I have one hatch locking pin that won't shift, to the point where I am actually bending the pin in attempts to free it following liberal applications of WD40, 3 in one etc.
The star shaped heads that hold the whole mechanism onto the hatch lid are new to me and I don't have any appropriate attachments for a socket set/screwdriver. Do they have a name?

Also my black paint on the rear window surrounds is peeling. Anyone suggest a good replacement or is good old Humbol enamel sufficient?
Thanks
David

I got one for a few quid when took my hatch pins off a while ago. Its not a torx as it has more splines I think, sorry cant tell you what it is :(. I ended up taking my car to the local tool shop and just trying a load until I found one that fit.

When you say black paint on the rear window surround do you mean the paint on the inside of the glass or the paint on the metal frame on the outside?

On mine, the stuff on the inside was flaking so I decided it would look neater with it removed which in my opinion it now does.

The exterior paint on the frame had also chipped/flaked in a couple of areas so I masked off the relevant bits, reprimed them where appropriate, and repainted them. It looks a lot better. I just used spray paint from Halfords although it was matt black as that is the colour of the relevant part of the frame on my car.
