Tail Pipes

Hi,

I have just noticed that my tail pipes are uneven the R/H side sticks out more than the left is this normal? I have had them checked by my independent and apparently there is no problem..............strange[8|]. Has anyone else got the same problem.

Pete

I have the same problem, but it's not difficult to rectify. The tail-pipes mount to the silencers and are not, in fact, permanently fixed. There is adjustment in them, so it's just a case of re-adjusting to make them level. Don't know entirely why they move, it just seems to sporadically happen.

Regards

Yes as per Oliver above. The tail pipes are adjustable. Have a look under the car they are clamped to the silencer with a nut and bolt. Loosen this a bit wiggle and adjust and then tighten them up again. Very easy, unless of course the nut and bolt are corroded!
