Tailgate - poor condition

That's a link to a thread about an engine dying.

I don't think you'll get any takers..... [&:]

Aw c'mon guys...would you have me chuck it in a skip?

Maybe someone can make a nice table out of it for their lounge?

What exactly does 'delaminated' mean in this context. Is it another word for very rusty ?

There are others who could explain it much better than me, but essentially the glass has come away from the frame so no longer seals properly.

I should imagine it is possible to rebond it in some way.

Does anyone know whether this is a feasable option?

So it just needs the glass gluing back on and it's OK ?

What part of the country are you in ?

Cheers
Mike

I'm in Berks.

It may not be quite as simple as glueing it back together, as I say, there are people on here who could explain it much better than me. I would try to find out exactly what this involves first although you are welcome to have it. There is a strip of trim from the top edge that will require replacing aswell.

IIRC there is an article on pelican parts on rebuilding them, on mine I just squeezed some black silicon into the gap which cured mine.
