Taking baffles out?

So I had done the 1 inch H&S pipes and there was a slight change, but as this is my second car, I think I want MORE noise.

My mechanic said to me that he would chop the top of the exhaust and remove the baffles and then it will sound good.

I have zero experience but that sounds kind of scary to me, any done such a thing?

sounds similar to what Carnewal do - you send them your exhaust, they chop and chnage and send it back - less baffles with more noise

Three points:

1. It is possibly illegal.
2. It may invalidate your insurance.
3. You may have to re-tune the engine as the back pressure will have changed.

I can think of more!

Ahhh bugger thought there would be some reason :)

Another question then, currently I have the one inch bypass pipe, would I get more noise from a bigger pipe?

The other point it may be making enough noise but because the engine is right behind, maybe I'm hearing more engine and maybe from outside it is noisy already.

Or I'm just bored :)
