Talk on Radar and Laser at March Meet

A big thank you to Tim from Mobile Centre for travelling down from the Cotswolds to leafy Sussex yesterday evening. His talk on all aspects of speed detection including radar, laser and GPS based systems was well received by a considerable number of members on the night. Judging by the numerous questions must interest centred on the B2 GPS unit and a laser diffuser unit.

Tim held the floor for just an hour and kindly stayed to answer questions well into the evening - I eventually said good bye to him at 12:05!

Many of us went away to look hard at the piggy bank and at least one member handed over his credit card - not bad as we're not known for making quick purchasing decisions!

Tim can me found at Mobile Centre

Peter,

Just to let you know I ended up buying 2 of the LRC100 laser "garage door openers" (The second was bought by a colleague), so hopefully Tim's time wasn't wasted in coming down.

Thanks for organising last night

I also thought Tim was most informative. So much so that he has emailed me twice today with suggestions of good legal advice for my pending hearing.

Gary - what are you doing about wiring in the garage door opener? I am considering one of these and the Origin B2.

Jonathan,

Units arrived today, they include dash mounting bracket etc. Not sure whether to use installer in Horley, or fit it myself. It doesn't look too hard to do! If I do it myself, I'll let you know how difficult it actually is.

Out of interest did you get a price from the installers in Horley? ... Robert

Fitted the LRC100 myself on Saturday, not too difficult once I found somewhere to take the power from.

For those interested Torque Systems in Salfords (Near between Redhill & Horley not the Manchester one) quoted be £75.00 to fit as a fellow 996 owner
