Hi just had my yearly MOT and it has failed on none working headlight washers, I can hear the pump running and have taken the headlights out and there is water coming out of the pipe! only problem is I don't know if the pressure is sufficient to push the washer jets out, I was wondering if there is anybody local in the Plymouth area that has a 996 with headlight washers (the type with the chrome cap) that would be willing to let me try my headlights on their car to see if it's the pump is not delivering enough pressure or the washer mechanism itself that is at fault.

All fixed!!!!! for future reference there is a nylon strainer that the H/L washer pump fits into within the water bottle this was all clogged up thus stopping the full pressure of the water to push the washer jets out, once cleaned everything is all okay...so if you can hear your pump running and no or little water comes out of the pipe behind the headlight (once headlight has been removed) check the filter first!!!! a good 2 hours spent.
