Targa at Paul Stephens

well I owned a 993 targa a few years ago and imho they are stunningly pretty cars which I have a lot of time for. my roof never gave problems and was simply brilliant in use.
on this one I myself would pass. colour is a personal prefernce but I don't like it; the 18 inch wheels I dont feel strongly about but I hate that turbo wing which on a narrow bodied car looks (imho) ridiculous and completely spoils lines. that said price looks fair and if you like the colour get the wing put back to standard and you're in business...

Personally I think the Turbo wing completely spoils the Targa look..............

I have a 993 Targa in pristine condition which I might be selling for a similar price - it's Ocean Blue (rather than Iris blue), it's only done 43,000 miles and it hasn't got that horrible hoop with the 3rd brake light (which lots of Targa's have). My Targa has 17" wheels - but it was ordered from new with the Cup 2 wheels rather than the Targa Split Rim wheels - I really like the Cup 2 wheels and they're lighter than the Split Rim wheels. (As Maurice says, you should have 17" on a Targa - if fact I think 17" wheels on any 993 probably give a much better ride for regular road driving.)

I've had the car for 2 years, done 11,000 miles and maintained it religously. If you're interested pm me, or let me have your email address and I'll send you some photos.

i think it looks stunning -and not bad price either-altho if you do many miles it will be over the ton soon(if thats a problem for you)-not that these cars are even run in by then[:D]
and the turbo body is very special(imho)!!

I agree, the Turbo body does look good

...............but the point is, this is not a Turbo body, it's a narrow bodied car with a Turbo spoiler on the back - looks all wrong to me!. The Turbo body (like you also also see on a C2S or C4S) has wider rear wheel arches and flared-out door sills etc.

I like the colour but, as with others, I don't think the rear wing does it any favours, personal preference in the end. Not easy to tell with the 18" wheels but it looks like the car is on standard shocks, worth finding out if these are the originals, if so you will probably need to replace them. I love the aircon in mine, wouldn't be without it in summer, check that it works correctly.

Sorry Nick, Iris Blue is one of the most common and best loved 993 colours. I have owned an Iris Blue coupe for 8 years, and never had anything but comments of appreciation and admiration for the colour.

I must admit, the car in the photos dosn't photograph that well. It looks a bit too bright. That may be beacause of the lighting, or a strange re-spray.

Standard Iris Blue should be a lovely colour, with a purplish tinge.

Best wishes and Caveat Emptor.
