Hello, just bought a USA spec SC targa, the targa roof looks knackered and was wondering if this is an easy job to do or do i have to get it done by a professional for a proper finish.
cheers

Recovered mine with a kit from Southbound Trimmers. Took about five hours and looked like a factory job when finished, if the rain gutters have seen better days replace those too, it makes all the difference for the 'pro-look'. Better done with two pairs of hands on a hot day.

cheers mate, good skills, love your sportomatic can i get the rain gutters from there aswell??

Thanks for the compliments on the sporto, hope to drive it one day soon [8|]. You can get the gutters from Southbound, they might be expensive now though I did the job five years ago, incidentally the original roof lasted twenty two years before the squirrels finished my car cover and the roof off in one summer feast. They had the best nest in the world that year I think. Don't tackle the job unless you are a reasonable DIYer and try and do it outside on a hot day, the fabric can be stretched to fit better, when it tightens it looks superb, oh and buy new black 'hook' fasteners and screws all round.
