Hi,

Went out in the car today not having taken it for a run for a week and when driving on the motorway started to hear wind noise, when I stopped I noticed the passenger side part of the roof has dropped about 1cm ? Quite concerened as it looks like it would let in a lot of water however it still opens and closes properly. Will ost a picture tomorrow.

So here is the driver side that is good, a nice tight fit

And here is the passenger side which you can see has dropped enough to get a finger under ?

I'm not too familiar with Targa roofs, but I know they can be a pain to fix, especially on 993's. The only thing I can find on the parts list which might have broken is item 1 on the attached. Unfortunately, they are only available as a repair kit (2 of each, items 1 & 2), priced at £550 a set. Not a quick fit item either, as far as I can make out. Best bet would be to take it to an indy, and see what they have to say. With luck, I will be totally wrong.

Thanks Richard, suspect it is no 2 that has failed. Will make a few phone calls tomorrow and brace myself for some spending [8|]

Made some phone calls and hopefully just a couple of hours labour charge. The roof is powered by two motors and linked by a cable, if the fuse fails on one of the motors the cable gets out of sync as only one of the motors is powering the hood and therefore doesn't sit correctly when closing. So hopefully should just be drop out the motors, re-sync the cable and replace the fuse. If not it will be a new motor which is around the £300 mark.
