targa vs coupe

Hi there,

Doing a bit more research into 911 ownership. As much as I would prefer a coupe I am keeping an open mind and would be quite happy with a targe if a good one cam along.

Is there any difference in weight or handling between the two body styles? I am assuming that both cars are identliucal mechanically?

Are targe tops prone to leaking?

Thanks

Martin.

I love my targa!
I had the roof recovered when I bought it 3 1/2 years ago so don't know if it leaked before, but it can leak in heavy rain, but then you take the roof off - refit it and next time it's dry as a bone. I think it down to how you fit the roof once its been removed.

I agree - better a good targa than a dog coupe

This Targa never leaks, goes like a coupe, sounds better than a coupe with the roof off.
