Targa windows

New member new owner 'AT LAST' recently purchased Pcgb members car with a few of the usual probs, but I love it dearly.
Can any one tell me, should the door windows drop/raise on opening/closing?
The reason I ask is that they get caught on the rubber seal top of doorjam opening a couple of mm before opening door more than clears this ,
Any response would be great .

Looking forward to future correspondents .

Hi and welcome!

The windows aren't designed to raise or lower as the doors are opened (would have been a nice feature though). I have a similar problem on my cab. I managed to sort out the drivers side by adjusting the window glass alignment which was slightly misaligned (causing it to rub) . This would be worth a try. The problem is also made worse if the doors seals are new and haven't bedded in. On the passenger side I manually lower the window before the passenger gets in!

Cheers

They don't on my '96. I have to agree it would have been nice, particularly as the pressure when slamming them shut can make the roof lift a little!
