Targa?

I have been thinking about chopping my '99 C4 in for a later model Cabriolet but I am reluctant to lose the storage area behind the rear seats and the use of the rear seats themselves which I find quite useful for occasional kid transportation. I've started to think about the Targa model and I would be grateful if anyone could answer the following questions
How noisy is the roof when its open?
Is headroom more restricted with Targa models with the roof closed?
Do you pay a premium for used Targas?
Is the handling inferior?
Does the roof squeak/rattle when closed?

Derek Sharp used to have one, he'd be able to tell you.

I had one on loan briefly. Rear hatch is useful, but you have to lean over the car to load it and, when it's wet, water drips off the hatch. Rear seats are good, similar to coupe, much better than cab. Don't think Targas command a premium, same price as coupes, or a bit less.

I don't know about a targa, but if you can visualise my wife and I (and I am no spring chicken) spending a 15 day vacation through France and Spain with 2 weeks of luggage, 50 pairs of shoes, half the makeup stock from Harrods, the kitchen sink and a couple of casks of wine to bring back, all in a Carrera Cabriolet, I think you will agree that there is ample room in them for most purposes short of requiring it to be a van. Plus the seats are very functional in the rear for small children.
