Looking at images in ads it occured to me that I haven't seen a 997 targa with the rear hatch open but I have on a 996. Is this because it doesn't open?
A gen 2 engine would seem sensible but are there any gen 2 anomalies like the gen 1/996 IMS issue?
There's a cat d advertised at 37k. Reasonable figure where non cats are 50 do we think (everything else being equal)

The hatch does open.
I'm resolved back in 2007, bore scoring seems to have been eradicated in Gen 2 cars. Advise checking floor wells and under rear seats for dsmpness
