What band/co2 reading/tax cost for 12months, will a 3.2 manual 986 boxster be?

I looked at a 2001 today, and 6months tax was ~£140, which would mean 12months is ~£270.

According to;

https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-tables

It should be £470+

What have I got wrong?

Ta. :)

For my 2000 986 3.2 S, I pay £225 per year.
The rate increases to £280 if registered after 1st March 2001

Out of interest, are there any common problems for the roof light been on?

HI Dave, I just paid £123.75 for 6mths on my 2000 Boxster S. Same as my 944 lux.

Alan.

My 2004 2.7 is £270. The £460+ rates are applicable to cars registered after late (poss Oct) 2006.

£225.00 for 12 months on our 2005 Boxster S and our 2008 Boxster S .......

Yes there is a story here ...... Both imported from USA and when the V5's were generated they were registered as non-Europe cars and as such tax is based on engine size and not emissions. [:D]

I paid £460 on my late 2006 Cayman S 3.4 but think it's now gone to £475[:'(]

Paid £480 on my May 06 2.7 [:'(] but now pay £270 on a Sept 11 3.2 Spyder [;)] No justification on the higher bands and i know all down to emissions but how does doing 3K miles a year against an old car doing 30K and polluting the air stack up .Dont get me ******* started[;)]
